Sarah Elser

Associate Attorney

Sarah is an associate attorney with Yasmin L. Stump Law Group, PC (YLSLG), and she focuses her practice on litigation and real estate transactions, including eminent domain and condemnation. Sarah has appellate practice knowledge based upon her experience working for the Indiana Court of Appeals, where she started as a judicial extern and then later as a law clerk for one of the Indiana Court of Appeals judges. Before joining the YLSLG team, Sarah was a staff attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she gained significant administrative law experience by providing legal advice and services on juvenile law matters. She represented the State of Indiana in child welfare cases, termination of parental rights cases and other general legal issues relating to the safety of children. During law school, Sarah worked in the Indiana General Assembly as a legislative assistant for the Hoosier State Press Association. Prior law school, Sarah served with City Year, an AmeriCorps program working to improve educational opportunities in Milwaukee Public Schools. 


In 2014, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, with minors in Psychology and Spanish, from Indiana University Bloomington. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018. While in law school, Sarah was a member of the Women’s Caucus, and she received the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence for dedicating more than 200 hours of her time to pro bono service. 


Sarah is a triplet and enjoys traveling and spending her free time with her family and friends. She is a mentor for Starfish Initiative, a program working to improve graduation rates in Indianapolis. As an undergraduate at Indiana University, Sarah, was a Division I student-athlete on the Women’s Rowing Team.
